How do I open an Account?
To protect you, and to meet our requirements, we need to verify your identity and source of funds before we can open your account. Our
application form may be more detailed than others you have completed in the past. Without this information, however, we will be unable to open your account and the missing information will delay your application.

  • Read the Terms and Conditions carefully.
  • Complete all sections of the application as appropriate. Each applicant must sign the form. If there are more than two applicants please contact us.
  • Each applicant must complete and sign the Authority to obtain verification of identity on the application form.
  • Ensure that the following items are returned with the application form:

1 A copy of each applicant’s Passport or European Union National Identity Card clearly showing the signature, date of issue and expiry, and certified with the following wording: “having seen the individual and the identification document at the same time I certify that this is a true copy and the photograph is a reasonable likeness.” The person certifying the document should then add their full name and title and the date that they certified the document, together with their relevant stamp.

Certification may be by (in order of preference):
a) a branch of Barclays or Woolwich;
b) another International Bank;
c) a Consular or Embassy official from your Consulate or Embassy;
d) a qualified lawyer who is a member of the National Legal Association;

2 An original bank or building society statement, other than the one you have provided details of on the
Authority to obtain verification of identity, or a VISA, MasterCard, American Express or Diners Card
statement showing your name and residential address. The document should be no more than three months
old. All original documents will be returned to you.

Post the form and documents to us at the address shown above.

On receipt of the completed application form and identity documentation we will contact you with your new account number.

You can then instruct your bank to transfer your money to us. Your name and new account number must be quoted as a reference on ALL telegraphic and BACS transfers.

PLEASE NOTE incomplete application forms or applications received without the correct identity documentation will be returned to you.
